IN
2010
it will take place from
Saturday 5th June until Monday 21st June 2010
The 2010 Festival will be the biggest yet. Organised by the Mumbles Tourist Association, the voluntary management body of the Mumbles Tourist Information Centre, the Festival’s continuing popularity means that there are now over 50 guided walks on the programme, spread out over sixteen days, around glorious Gower, Mumbles and other local settings.
The Gower Peninsula was the first in Britain to be designated an Area of Outstanding National Beauty in 1956, and the Festival is designed to cover as much of it as possible, as well as provide walks with added interest, such as Birds, Bats, Photography, Nordic Walking and History Walks. If you are visiting Wales, and like walking, you mustn’t miss it.
The brochure – in English – will give details of all walks, and will be available to download on our website from January 2010. If you’d like us to email you when it is available, or if you’d prefer us to post a copy to you, please click on iinfo@mumblestic.co.uk and enter your details. The Mumbles TIC can also help arrange accommodation in the area for your visit.
Come and see us – you’ll love it!

And the winner is............
2009 saw the introduction of a photographic competition where walkers were asked to submit a photo taken on one of the walks. The winner was Mrs Debbie Thomas of Waunarlywdd Swansea. Her winning entry, chosen by the judges Photographers Bartlett & Morgan of Newton Road, Mumbles, who also kindly donated the prize, is shown above entitled "Gower Ponies" and below a picture of her receiving her prize from the photographers.
